Color Theory Portrait

For my color theory portrait, I decided to do a picture of Frank Ocean because he is my favorite singer. I think the finished product turned out great, considering portraits are not my strongest suit.

Double Page Spread (Color)

This is my double page spread for color. I decided to use teddy bears for the different color schemes because I did the same thing last year for a similar assignment.

Value Drawing

For my value drawing, I decided to draw a Snickers bar out of context because I love chocolate. I just thought it would be interesting to draw it as a bed.

Double Page Spread (Value)

This  is my double page spread for value. I chose to do a little picture of Rihanna for part of  the assignment because she is one of my favorite singers.

Dream Sketch

This is the drawing I came up with while Mrs. Rojas was describing a dream.

Drawing from Double Page Spread

For this drawing, I took the fire from my double page spread as inspiration. I want people to be able to look at my art ant see what I have to say. I want my  art to make people think.

Double Page Spread

The inspiration for the image on this double page spread came from something a friend drew on my arm. I want to be able to communicate my thoughts through my art  and make it meaningful.

Portfolio Cover

For my portfolio covers, I decided to do simple designs. The inspiration for the sunset design came from a watercolor painting I did previously at home. And for the letters in my name I wanted to do fun, colorful patterns.

Mandala

For my mandala I did a very colorful abstract design. I decided to use a bunch of random lines and geometric shapes and random splotches of color.

For my paper maché sculpture I decided to do a sort of abstract bunny. I chose to do a bunny because bunnies are cute and I like them.

Cardboard Bas Relief

I did a ballerina and a stage for my bas relief because I love watching performers on stage and I love the beauty and gracefulness of dancers.

Metal Tooling

I decided to do an owl for my metal tooling piece because I wanted to do a design with a lot of detail. I decided not to wash off the dry ink because I liked the purple tint it left on the work.

Plaster Subtractive Sculpture

For my subtractive sculpture, I decided to do a sort of abstract turtle. I really like turtles and I felt it would be a simple design for the mold I used. I wasn't able to make it as detailed as I wanted, but I am still happy with the result.

Dream/Vision Board

My vision board shows the things I love and my goals for this year. Theatre, art, and science are my passions, and I know that soon I'll have to start preparing more college and life.
